The second tabletop in our Set the Table series is the sweetest of the bunch. Designed by Ashley Nicole, co-owner of Winnipeg bakery Jenna Rae Cakes, this holiday table combines cool marble and vintage glassware with colourful, freshly baked treats. Jenna Rae Cakes is especially known for their picture-perfect macaroons, available in clever flavours like Cinnamon Bun, Fuzzy Peach, Lemon Curd and more.
“I love the holidays! This will be my family’s first Christmas in our new home, and we hope to do a lot of entertaining over the holiday season. I like minimal, organic and sophisticated table settings – we let the delicious food add colour and warmth to the table!
Being a bakery owner, our company expects sweet treats. It’s a nice surprise to start off dinner with something sweet, so I’ve included macaron and meringue favours (displayed on marble coasters) which do double duty as decoration and a tasty little pre-dinner treat!”
Kendall Dining Table with Marble Top: The perfect backdrop for a delicious meal! We get so many compliments on our table, it’s definitely a statement piece in our home. I played up the beauty of the table by carrying the marble theme throughout the place settings.
Coast Coasters (White): These coasters are so great because they have so many uses. Here, we used them as candle holders and place settings at each seat. I have an abundance at home because I never know when I’ll find a new use for them!
Gala Flatware Set: This is my favourite detail of the table. The black cutlery is so chic and sophisticated, and really ties everything together.
